@hjjh1212 ok “fake” is a sledgehammer of a word to use. not fake, but not natural either. that may well be the object, of course… i have ‘shopped things to make them look unnatural… creepy, or ethereal, or matte, etc. i wouldn’t do serious photoshopping of regular portraits, where the subject should be natural as it’s a memento of the person as he/she is.

@TheDeviantGamer Throughout history there have been trends in art toward realism (even to the point of accentuating, a blemish or pimple), no one would say that this was wrong (just another form of art, right?). There has also been movements towards idealism throughout history, and throughout history the people embraced it as art. Now however, when idealism resurfaces in photography everyone gets angry about it. We also see realism in photography, although no one has a problem with that.
@TheDeviantGamer I would agree that if the only thing that young girls ever see is the idealistic photos, then it could warp their self image. Sadly I do not see people asking for more realism, instead I see people demanding for trends in idealism to cease altogether.
You only did basic retouching, the majority was universal changed to exposure, contrast, and whitebalance.
why would anyone want pictures that didn’t look like them?
